Dr Jaroslaw Pojda

GP focused on paediatric neurology

Dr Pojda graduated from the Medical Academy of Silesia in Katowice; he is a General Practitioner and Paediatrician, with a title of a specialist in Paediatric Neurology obtained in 1993 under the supervision of Prof. Jagna Czochanska in the Paediatric Neurology Clinic of the Institute of Mother and Child in Warsaw.

In the past, a court expert and Paediatric Neurology specialist in the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit and Paediatric Surgical Unit in Voivodeship Specialist Hospital in Czestochowa. He works in the Neurology Out-Patient Clinic of the Voivodeship Specialized Health Care Centre for Women, Children and Adolescents, and as a Paediatric Neurology specialist in Axomed Medical Centre in Czestochowa. He is a member of the managing board of the Polish Society of Child Neurologists, and – since 2010 – a member of the Central Examination Board in the Medical Examination Centre in Lodz in the field of Paediatric Neurology. For many years Dr Pojda has been involved in early diagnostics of developmental disorders in infants and small children, and treatment of various neurological disorders in children and adolescents, from headaches and seizure disorders to problems with school education and hyperactivity. He has more than 20 years of experience in performing cranial ultrasound in infants.

Dr Pojda completed postgraduate studies in the Medicine of Pain at the Jagiellonian University in Krakow. He is also a specialist in palliative care, experienced in treating strong pain syndromes of various origins. Since 2006 Dr Pojda has been registered to practice with the General Medical Council.
